Who are you working for? Scott Walker hit a home run with his rally yesterday and his ads letting everyone know boldly that he will STOP THE TRAIN!!! Get on board, people. This is the ride of a lifetime. Ron Johnson and Leah Vukmir stopped by Keller Williams Real Estate in Elm Grove last evening to talk about out-of-control spending on the national and state levels. We have also got some great candidates for 14th Assembly district who will carry on Leah’s work there. Who are you working for? Who have you given money to? Whose yard signs are up in your yard? It’s getting serious. Step out today! If you don’t, you can’t complain later about the debt that is mounting by the second and will be left to your children and grandchildren. This Friday, August 20th is a fundraiser for Ron Johnson. Go on the RPMC Website for the info and then be there on Friday.

It’s not just for Realtors. We need supporters to come out and show that we are serious about having a new U.S. Senator who will not sell us down the river. Feingold is desperate. He was actually at State Fair, shaking hands. That usually isn’t his style. Keep up the pressure. Hope to see you tonight.

Are You Mad Yet?

Former Republican Congressman, Ray LaHood, who is apparently now drunk with liberal power as Obama’s Transportation Secretary, came to Wisconsin yesterday and affirmed that the Federal Government is going to build the so-called “high-speed train”, inferring that we are powerless to stop it. Powerless? Really? Do you feel powerless? Doesn’t that make you mad? Are you mad enough to stand up and fight? What will it take? We need to get some common sense back into government at all levels. We need to stop spending. We need to stop forcing government programs on our citizens.

Many of you give money to candidates, and that is really needed – so don’t stop. Many of you faithfully write your representatives, and that is also needed. Some of you even volunteer for campaigns – and that is excellent. Are these things enough? Are you still mad? Then stand up. The Tea Party movement has changed the way we do government. It is made up of mad citizens who decided to be heard. What else can you do to be heard?

The Wisconsin Republican candidates for state and Federal offices share your conservative values. They stand for individual responsibility, small government and sound fiscal management. If you have stayed out of party politics because you like to be independent, you sit in the majority of people in this country. If you are those things AND you find that you are conservative, the best way to be represented in government is to get these Republican candidates elected. There is a lesson here. Republican operatives, welcome the independent conservatives and adjust methods to accommodate their desires. Independent conservatives, join forces with the Republican operatives and bring your own independent spirit into the fray. It will take all of us to win these elections.

Now stand up!

What Campaign are you working with?

If you are reading this, you probably identify yourself as a conservative. If so, it is imperative that you choose at least one conservative candidate running for office this fall, visit their website, email or call them and offer your resources. If you can’t give a lot of money (and even if you can), give your time. Make calls, deliver signs and literature. There is a lot of work to be done. If you don’t, the same old liberals will win election and the “hope and chage” that we are experiencing with the current state and federal administrations will continue. CALL NOW!! Get involved!

Independence Day Celebrations

How busy is your holiday weekend? Too busy to take some time to help conservatives get elected this fall? Many of the campaigns need help to create a presence at parades and other Independence Day celebrations. Some are on Sunday, some on Monday. A great way to celebrate our freedoms is to exercise them. If you are interested in a certain campaign, call that campaign office and volunteer for the events this weekend. If you aren’t hooked up yet with a campaign (although you should be), call Bill Berdan at 414-507-9443 and he will put you in touch with the right people. Even if you cannot help this weekend, several key national and state races will need your help in the coming weeks to get the message out that we want to reduce spending and get this country back on track. When the November 2 election is over, don’t you want the satisfaction of saying, “I helped!”? Call or register as a volunteer on candidates’ websites.

We had a great time at the annual Garden Party on June 22 at Jerry and Judy Suttner’s home. They have a beautiful yard and we enjoyed great, warm summer Wisconsin weather with good food and drink and fine conservative friends, elected officials and candidates. Have you spoken to your elected officials lately? Have you met the candidates who are working hard to win races to represent your interests? If your answers to these questions are “no” – then may I be so bold as to say “shame on you.” We have an opportunity in this city, this state and this country THIS FALL to return to some sanity. Reince Priebus, State GOP Chair, was our guest speaker at the garden party and he spoke very passionately about the need to get involved in these races. It will take more than voting to get it done. If you don’t know how to get in touch with the campaigns to volunteer or to give money, call Bill at 414-507-9443 and he would be happy to get you in touch with the proper people. IT IS SOOOO important! It is disappointing not to see more conservatives come out to events. If you are reading this, and you are not attending things like the garden party or the pints and politics events that we host, please send a reply to tell us why. Are we doing something wrong? We really want some feedback. Why aren’t more people at least attending some of these events? Should we have different kinds of events? The candidates and elected officials always come, ready to answer questions and help us get motivated, but many times they are only re-motivating the same people. If you are a faithful attender, thank you, because you are greatly appreciated. But, even if you can’t come to events, get involved in these races. We need a Republican Governor and Lt. Governor, US and State Senators and Representatives. Please take this plea to heart and stand up and cheer publicly by working and talking to those in your sphere of influence.

Tosa Branch Garden Party

What is better than walking in a beautiful garden on a lovely summer evening, discussing politics with fellow conservatives and meeting political candidates and elected officials one-on-one? Answer: Nothing is better, so why not join us at the Tosa Branch RPMC Annual Garden Party?

It will be held on Tuesday, June 22 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the home of Jerry and Judy Suttner,

The cost is $10 per person.

State GOP Convention

If you were unable to attend the State GOP Convention this weekend, you missed an incredibly exciting and inspiring time. Conservatism is thriving. Attendance was huge and the crowd was full of people who have never gotten involved in politcs before, but are tired of what is going on. But now is when the work starts. Take your enthusiasm and channel it to help a conservative candidate get elected. There are a lot to choose from. Make phone calls, do lit drops, attend events, give money (MONEY IS NEEDED). If you want to get involved, but don’t know how, email us at tosagop@yahoo.com or call Bill Berdan at 414-507-9443. He would be happy to direct you.

While you are writing things down, like that email and phone number, write down our next major event, which will be our annual Garden Party. It will be held Tuesday, June 22 in the evening. More details will be posted here and sent out, but put it in your calendar now. Some of those great candidates will be there to meet and greet. Come ask them your tough questions. Invite people who are dissatisfied with the present administrations and allow them to meet some people who want to make it better for them. The key there is “invite”. You know some people are are not affiliated with a party, but who are realizing that they are Conservative. Bring them along.

State Convention Gear Up

Whether or not you are attending the State GOP Convention in Milwaukee next weekend, you are invited to attend a Pre-Convention Thirsty Thursday/Pints and Politics hosted by the Tosa Branch. It will take place on Thursday, May20 from 5 – 7pm at Mo’s Irish Pub at 142 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Meet with fellow conservatives from the area, and maybe some early arrivers from around the state. National Day of Prayer

The Tosa Branch of the RPMC is going to host a National Day of Prayer event. After Wisconsin Judge Barbara Crabb declared that the National Day of Prayer is unconstituional if proclaimed by the government, we disagree. We need all of your support on Thursday, May 6 at 12:20 pm on the corner of 76th and North Avenue (in front of the City Hall/Library building). We will pray for 20 minutes together. Churches in Tosa from all denominations have been invited, as well as elected officials who represent Wauwatosa. What we need now is your support. Come join us!
