A few short years ago, residents of Milwaukee County got mad at the outrageous spending habits approved by the Milwaukee County Board at taxpayers’ expense. Many people from around our county worked together, established CRG Network and were very successful in their efforts to oust former county executive, Tom Ament, and several county board supervisors.
High taxes and government spending are hurting Milwaukee County families and killing jobs. The recession is making it nearly impossible for us to pay our bills and make ends meet. All the while, government refuses to listen, the tax-and-spend politicians continue to waste our hard-earned dollars. Politicians like Milwaukee County Board Chairman Lee Holloway want to raise our property taxes to fuel their out-of-control spending habits.
Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker has crafted a responsible, balanced budget that will freeze taxes, control spending, and rein in public employee benefits. Sounds good to me!
But several members of the County Board are fighting Walker’s common sense approach.
Nothing will change unless we make our voices heard!
It’s time to do something to make our politicians listen . . .
